Refrigerated trailers with perishable contents require constant monitoring, which, until now, has meant regular manual inspections and costly spoilage if the checks do not take place in time. pincREEFER from PINC Solutions monitors and communicates the temperature and fuel-level of the refrigerated unit constantly, enabling remote status checks for refrigerated units in the yard. With pincREEFERs installed, automatic alerts are generated for units that need to be refueled or that have temperatures deviating too far from their set points. The yard personnel can effectively supervise refrigerated trailers without conducting time-consuming manual checks.

pincREEFER is a pincTAG connected to the digital thermometer and fuel gauge on the refrigerated unit, either permanently or temporarily. It is enhanced with a low-power circuitry to monitor current fuel level, actual vs. set-point temperature, and the on/off status. The tag is also Wi-Fi enabled so that the status can be transmitted back to the PINC server wirelessly.
